Strain clamps are mainly used to fix conductor and ground wire on overhead power lines or substations.They connect the insulators through the link fittings or connect the ground wire to the tower arms.According to their structures and the mounting methods,they can be classified into three types:bolt type,compression type and wedge type.When the bolt type is used on AAC and ACSR,the conductor should be wound by aluminum tape or preformed armour rod for protecting.
